About this trip: This trip is something special for several reasons. First, Zermatt is at the base of the Matterhorn, the most famous mountain silhouette in all of Europe—it is a sight you just gotta see. In the morning skiing on the Zermatt Glacier awaits and if the snow cooperates, you can ski into Italy

Second, we have scheduled this trip to coincide with the beginning of DoDDS-E Spring Break. We know not everyone can be gone the entire week so this trip returns late on Monday.  If we’ve had a good snowy winter and conditions hold it is possible to ski into Italy and back.

This trip should also attract non-skiers as Zermatt is a charming, no motorized cars allowed village that has plenty of shops within and good hiking trails without.  Charge your camera for this one because no matter how you make your way around Zermatt the scenery is spectacular.

Trip Price: 420€, Single supplement is not available. The trip is 4 nights (Thursday - Sunday) and the price includes bus transportation, train transfer to Zermatt, luggage transfer to hotel, 4 breakfasts, and 3 dinners.

Skiing: We will ski at Zermatt-Cervina, with 70 lifts. These cover 46 km of black runs, 125 km of red runs, and 80 km of blue runs. There are excellent opportunities for cross country skiing on groomed tracks if winter is still here.
