About this trip: You can ski two great and distinctly different areas in two days on this budget (well for Switzerland) trip. The Jungfrau will be the site of the 2011 FIS Ski World Cup and the Schlithorn remains famous for James Bond’s first great ski chase. We will stay in Lauterbrunnen, which is in a deep valley between the two. It is a town that offers staggering scenery right in the middle of the Jungfrau ski region. It is walking distance to the cog train that sweeps you up to Kleine Scheidegg on one side of the valley and Schilthorn on the other.

On one day, you can ski the oldest and longest ski course on the World Cup circuit, the Lauberhorn, on one day, The world-famous panorama of Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau highlights the view while 44 trains, cable cars and ski lifts connect over 200KM of ski runs. Ski trains (included in the ski pass) depart Lauterbrunnen for slopes at Wengen, Mannlichen or Kleine Scheidegg.

On the other day, you can ski the 12km, 2000 meter descent Inferno run. Additionally, you can enjoy lunch at the Piz Gloria, the rotating restaurant at Schilthorn that has magnificent views and is well known to James Bond fans.

You can purchase a separate train ticket and visit Europe’s highest restaurant “Top of Europe” on the Jungfraujoch Mountain offering fabulous views of Switzerland, France, and Germany.

The high ski alrea elevation guarantees favorable ski conditions this time of year. Cross country, sledding, and snowshowing are all possible.

Trip Price: 220€, single supplement is 20€. The trip is 2 nights (Friday - Saturday) and the price includes transportation, 2 breakfasts, and 1 dinner.

Skiing:We will ski at Jungfrau and Schilthorn, with 21 lifts and 14 cable cars. These cover 30 km of black runs, 131 km of red runs, and 52 km of blue runs. It is a good location for cross country skiing if the snow cooperates.
