About this trip: Krippenstein has a proven reputation as a free rider's paradise. It in a new area...only 6 years old. It is linked to the Dachstein West region, meaning your ski pass is good at both mountains, so you can ski those traditionally friendly and wide Austrian runs if you like.
It is an area full of surprises: it offers Austria's longest descent of 11 km. It has 1500 meters of vertical drop an an ultramodern cable car system. It boasts perhaps the craziest "fun" park in the entire Alps. The Dachstein West region has over 20 lifts and you can ski to 4 different Austrian villages. Trip Price: 180€, Single Supplement 20€. The trip is 2 nights (Fri - Sat) and the price includes transportation, 2 breakfasts, and 1 dinner.
Skiing: We will ski at Krippenstein and Obertraun Dachstein with 20 lifts in 4 different ski areas. There are 15km of cross country ski trails.

Hotel: We will be staying at the BSFZ. The hotel has a sports center, offers massages, and has a therapy center. They can be reached at +43 6131 239-0.
Lift Passes: An adult 2-day lift pass is approximately 65€ and a child pass is 35€. Prices are approximate and subject to change without notice.
Equipment Rental: Ski equipment rental is readily available at the resort but it is more expensive than renting through outdoor rec. Renting prior to departure may be more convenient for you. The TC is not responsible for equipment rental or sizing. The bus will not wait for those turning in equipment at the last minute; please plan accordingly.
Lessons: Lessons are available. Recommend referring to the tourist info web site for more information.
Departure: The bus will depart PHV from the Dental Clinic parking lot at 17:00 (5 pm). The travel time is approximately 7 hours. When paid in full, members may reserve their bus seat. The bus waits for no one. Check-in with the TC prior to 16:45 or risk being assessed a 10€ penalty fee that will be used to support the trip party fund. Special Note: Please pack lightly, the bus has limited cargo carrying capacity. Limit yourself to an overnight bag, ski boot bag, and skis. Thanks.
Return: The trip captain will notify skiers of the departure time the night before departure and again the morning of departure.
