About this trip:
Virtually the twin premier trip of the year sister to the “other” Arabba hotel. At the Poidoi Hotel you are closer to the lifts than the Evaldo and you can even bring your dog. Extensive snowmaking and the high altitude in this area makes skiing virtually guaranteed. This is a pet-friendly, excellent breakfast and dinner meals and it is only about 250m from the towns’ two ski lifts. Your TCs from both HISC hotels will help to us link-up for big group Safaris that include skiing the 14 miles around the Sella Ronda, where “going both ways” is something to brag about and means you’ve done both the green and the 0range.
NOTE: 6-night minimum stay recommended.
The Dolomiti ski region is so huge that from the small village of Arabba you can ski over 200 connected runs. The area has mostly intermediate slopes and you must be able to handle a red run to ski in and out of Arabba. The Pordoi offers a great value in a 2-star hotel and is pet-friendly so they don’t have to endure a kennel-Christmas. Your TC will hook you up with HISCers from the other hotel to ski the 15 miles around the Sella Ronda together. This is a U-Drive trip.
Trip Price: 52€ per night for adults, children get a reduction. Single Supplement 15€ per day. The price includes room with bath or shower, breakfasts, and dinners. No transportation – this is a U-drive.
Skiing: We will ski at Dolomiti Superski with 463 lifts. These cover 120 km of black runs, 720 km of red runs, and 360 km of blue runs. Cross country skiing is probably not possible.

Hotel: We will be staying at the 2-star Hotel Albergo Pordoi in Arabba. The hotel has a sauna, solarium, and steam bath. They can be reached at +39-436-79103.
Lift Passes: An adult 6-day lift pass is 210€ and a senior pass is 180€. A child pass is 150€ and kids up to 8 years may be entitled to a free ski pass for the same period (excludes daily, 12 days in a season and season passes) upon purchase of a ski pass by the adult relative. Prices are approximate and subject to change without notice.
Equipment Rental: Ski equipment rental is readily available at the resort but it is more expensive than renting through outdoor rec. Renting prior to departure may be more convenient for you. The TC is not responsible for equipment rental or sizing.
Lessons: Lessons are available. Recommend referring to the tourist info web site for more information.
Departure: U-Drive. Travel time is approximately 7-8 hours. Specific driving instructions will be provided at a later date.
