About this
trip: On the Gemsstock, there is one of the very first alpine runs created especially for carvers. The Bernhard-Russi-Run, a famous ski run down the glacier, received
its name in honor of the winner of the Olympic games in Sapporo. The Gemsstock, scene of a series of exciting events, has long been a “secret” amongst snowboarders and off-piste skiers.
The ski area offers a wide range of pistes for every standard. Beginners such as free riders will find the loveliest runs in the Gotthard area. Around 45 km of the runs are with snow cannons.
You will also find:

Trip Price: 220€, Single Supplement 20€. The trip is 2 nights (Friday - Sunday) and the price includes transportation, room with bath or shower, 2 breakfasts, and 1 dinner.
Hotel: We will be staying at the 3-star Hotel Badus. The hotel has a sauna, whirlpool, and steam bath. They can be reached at +41 887 1286.
Skiing: We will ski on the Gemsstock with 20 lifts. These cover 40 km of black runs, 57 km of red runs, and 28 km of blue runs. The area has 28 km of cross country ski loipes.
Lift Passes: An adult 2-day lift pass is 78€, a senior pass is 73€, and a child pass is 61€. Prices are approximate.
Equipment Rental: Ski equipment rental is readily available at the resort but it is more expensive than renting through outdoor rec. Renting prior to departure may be more convenient for you. The TC is not responsible for equipment rental or sizing. The bus will not wait for those turning in equipment at the last minute; please plan accordingly.
Lessons: Lessons are available. Recommend referring to the tourist info web site for more information.
Departure: The bus will depart PHV from the Dental Clinic parking lot at 5 pm (17:00). The travel time is approximately 6.5 hours. When paid in full, members may reserve/select their bus seat. The bus waits for no one. Check-in with the TC prior to 16:45 or risk being assessed a 10€ penalty fee that will be used to support the trip party fund. Special Note: Please pack lightly, the bus has limited cargo carrying capacity. Limit yourself to an overnight bag, ski boot bag, and skis. Thanks.
Return: The trip captain will notify skiers of the departure time the night before departure and again the morning of departure.
