If you must cancel, please notify the trip captain (TC) and the council in writing or by email as soon as possible. However, you will lose your non-refundable 35€ deposit unless the HISC Council approves an individual exception to policy. In the email to request a refund because of cancellation, be sure to include:
If HISC can fill your place with someone on the waiting list, you will only lose your 35€ deposit.
If there is no waiting list, you may recruit a replacement. They must pay the TC in full. You will lose only your 35€ deposit. Requests for refund of 35€ deposits will only be considered in the following circumstances:
If the cancellation meets both of these conditions an individual may petition in writing (email
is sufficient) to the HISC Council for return of their deposit as an exception to policy. Documentation supporting the claim (Emergency leave form, doctor’s statement) should be submitted with
the request. The HISC Council will decide on all exception requests by a majority vote. |
