Welcome to the Heidelberg International Ski Club (HISC). HISC has been serving the Heidelberg community since 1956. Join us for the 2011 - 2012 season, where we will provide a variety of ski trips throughout Europe and social events in our own backyard!

Meeting Directions

We meet at the Hotel Zagreb in Schwetzingen. If coming from the A-5 and PHV there are new directions. Take:

  • B-535, Speyerstraße, towards Schwetzingen
  • Take the Eppelheim, Plankstadt, Schwetzingen & Oftersheim
  • Right at end of ramp toward Schwetzingen & Oftersheim
  • Take second right on Neue Scheffelstraße (straight through traffic light)
  • First left after the PennyMarkt (by Opel dealership) on Robert-Boschstraße
  • Go 2 blocks to Hotel Zagreb on left

Social Events & Information

Join us after the holidays for our next social on Wednesday February 1. It is our super bowl party, so come and show which side you are on. Come and enjoy the company of your fellow skiers.

Members get a free drink! Alternate Wednesdays, at 7:00 at the Hotel Zagreb.

Lauterbrunnen, CH - March 9 - 11 - Here you can ski two great and distinctly different areas, Kleine Scheidigg and Schilthorn, in two days on this budget trip (at least for Switzerland). Price 220€.

Mosel Bike Ride, DE - May 25 - 28 - Opens March 28 We went to the Mosel last year for our bike trip and liked it so much we are going back again. We’re going to start just north of Trier and over three days of biking at about 50km a day we will wind (or wine) our way down the Mosel into Koblenz. Price 235€.

St. Veit Golf Trip, AU - May 25 - 28 - Opens March 28. We play at 3 of the most beautiful courses that Austria has to offer, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and clear crystal air. Price 285€.

Flossfahrt, DE - June 15 - 17 - Opens Feb 29. This is a raft trip, but not like any one you’ve ever been on ... unless you joined us in previous years. Price 285€.

St. Veit II, AU Jan 21 - 28 - Join the many HISCers who have learned to or improved their skiing at Siggi's ski school. Price 490€

Krippenstein, AU Feb 3 - 5 - CANCELLED Looking for something new? This is our first time to this new (6 years old) ski area. It's reputation is outstanding. Price 180€

Rinnen Brewery, AU - Feb 10 - 12 - SOLD OUT - Join the wait list. Join us on this new trip to a brewery in the Zugspitz area. Price 120€

Zell am See, AU - Feb 17 - 20 - We stay up top for this one at 2000m where you can ski right out and make two runs before breakfast – at the rustic Berg Hotel. Price 300€

HISC socials are family oriented. Children are always welcome and we regularly have games, activities, and prizes for the kids.

Trip deposits

The minimum deposit is 35€ per person. You may put down more. The 35€ mandatory deposit is non-refundable; additional deposit amounts could be refunded in case of cancellation.

All trip payments, including deposits, must be made in Euros.

All our payments to hotels or tour companies must be in Euro and in almost every case the deposit the club must pay is well over the 35€ per person that we ask you to pay to hold your reservation.

Refund requests

Do you have a request for a refund? Click this link, open the attached mail, fill in the form and send it, or send an email to refund@heidelbergski.com. Be sure to include:

  • Your name
  • The trip
  • Amount (remember, 35€ is the non-refundable deposit)
  • Reason for the refund
